“REACT” – Toti avem dreptul la educatie

REACT – Toti avem dreptul la educatie!” is a project that started in the spring of 2020 during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. 

The project is supported by Rotary Club Cluj-Napoca, and our main goal is to offer a chance at education for children coming from modest financial backgrounds.

As schools are running their activites a bit differently than usual and the face to face lectures moved online, it’s unbelievable that there are children who can’t participate, and therefore are unable to finish their studies, mostly due to the lack of technical  devices and internet. 

Over 250.000 preschool students don’t have a functional device that could help them attend their online classes. 

Many surveys conducted by a charity named Viata si Lumina along with FEPAL (Parents’ and legal guardians of Romania) confirmed that 250.000 children are unable to access the online classes. 

Therefore, our goal is to give as many children a functional device so they can finish their studies during these hard times.

Our biggest achievement so far was in June 2020, when we managed to deliver laptops and notepads to 16 children from Rasca preschool.
